This image was created over several hours using special high color rating high-output flashlights. I mix several exposures in order to catch the sky, the building, and the interior lights all looking their very best. Theater During Performance by Pennsylvania Architectural Photographer Daniel JacksonArchitectural photograph of Cab Calloway Theater during performance in Wilmington, Delaware. This image was made up of several exposures that were combined digitally in order to capture the architecture in a very dark theater. Some of the exposures last many seconds in order to collect enough light to show the design with a minimum of noise and grain. I count seeing a few amazing perfomances while shooting the space as another fringe benefit of the job.

Photographed using a combination of flash and natural light. Just enough light added to show the space without all of the noise and blown out windows associated with shooting without supplemental lighting. And, without the halo artifacts of HDR or tone mapping. I have tried and from time to time still use other techniques but the best results come from a combination of natural light and flash.
